Sept. 24, 2012
When the Siena Saints recently opened the 2012 fall season, their lineup showed two Sandrinis. The rest of the MAAC wasn't all that thrilled to have to face one; now they have another to worry about!
Looking back at last season's statistics, one could make a compelling argument that Jessika-Jo Sandrini was the MAAC's most valuable player. J-J dominated conference play, leading the MAAC in hitting (.522); hits (24); home runs (6); RBIs (18); doubles (6); and total bases (45). No one was anywhere near her in slugging percentage (1.043!) and on base percentage (.600). And she was second in ERA (1.43) as a pitcher. All as a sophomore. Kind of scary. And now comes her sister to join her.
