Fractured Hearts in Fairfield

Siena softball played its way into MAAC Tournament contention Saturday with a sweep of Marist. However, the Saints fell short of the postseason following a sweep at the hands of Fairfield Sunday, dropping their final two games of 2012 4-3 and 2-0. [read more]

It's a Whole New Ballgame

It's been a fantastic weekend for Siena in the I-87 rivalry with Marist. Less than 24 hours after Siena lacrosse topped the Red Foxes in the MAAC Tournament, Siena softball swept Marist on Senior Day Saturday in Loudonville, N.Y., by scores of 4-3 and 12-6, rejoining the race for a MAAC Tournament bid in the process. Jones a Capital One Academic All-District First Team Selection

Chalk up another accolade for Siena softball's Shannon Jones. The junior received word Thursday that she was one of just 11 Division I players in the region to be named to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team.
