HONOLULU - The University of Hawai`i softball completed the doubleheader sweep of Siena tonight with a 3-0 win in game two over the Saints at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. UH won the first game of the day with an impressive 8-0 victory shortened to six innings because of the 8-run rule.

Hawai`i (9-10) scored in each of the first two innings. In the first, Tracie Uchima led off with a single to center and went to second when Saint centerfielder bobbled the grounder. Noelle Izumi sacrificed Uchima to third where she scored on April Crowell's ground out to second base.
UH scored another run in the second off Saint starting pitcher Adrian St. Cin (0-1) when Stacey Ritter got aboard on an error by Saint shortstop Veronica Arredondo, stole second, and moved to third on a wild pitch. Denise Dahlberg walked and stole second, but the Saint second baseman Megan Woltz threw the ball to the backstop when they had Ritter caught between third and home.
The Rainbow Wahine went up 3-0 when Ritter lined her third home run of the season over the left center field fence.
St. Cin went only four innings and was relieved by Janelle Iaquinto in the top of the fifth who finished by the game for the Saints.
