GENERAL- Powerful pitcher who gained valuable experience as a freshman and sophomore...Has good velocity and command...Did not play last season due to injury...Closed out her high school career as the school's all-time leader in strikeouts...Tossed two no-hitters as a junior and recorded eight shutouts and a 0.89 earned run average...During her stellar career, she was recognized on the Boston Globe All-League team as well as the Boston Herald All-Scholastic team...Daughter of Greg and Janice Iaquinto...Played volleyball and softball for four years in high school...Has younger sister Christina...Chose Siena because of its athletic programs and the team members she met.

AS A JUNIOR- Missed the entire season with an injury.

AS A SOPHOMORE- Made three starts in the circle posting an ERA of 4.67...Held opponents to a .326 batting average and had 22 strikeouts in 39.0 innings played...Against Albany (3/23) she had six strikeouts...At the plate she was 1-for-3 and scored one run.

AS A FRESHMAN- Made 12 starts in the circle posting an ERA of 3.22...Held opponents to a .299 batting average and had 39 strikeouts in 69.2 innings of work...Against Sacred Heart (4/20) she had five strikeouts...At the plate she recorded one hit in six at bats and drove in one run...Had a .167 batting average on the season.

PARKS ON IAQUINTO- "After sitting out last year with an injury, Jannelle is working to regain her form on the mound. She will likely work her way into the rotation as a reliever as she regains her strength and command of her pitches."
