LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. - Sixth seeded Siena Women's Soccer looks to keep their magical run going as the Saints take on No. 2 seed Fairfield in the MAAC Semifinals at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex at 2 p.m. The match will be broadcast on ESPN3.

Stags' Second Half Surge Too Much for Saints
Fairfield struck for three second half scores to defeat Siena Women's Soccer 3-0 in the Saints' 2013 home finale. Ashley Small scored twice in a three-minute span late in the match to put it away for the Stags.

Tickets to the match can be purchased directly at the ESPN Wide World of Sports® Box Office. Single day tickets can be purchased for $16 for adults and $11 for children. Fans can also purchase a package for all of the games for $48 for adults and $33 for children.

Winners of seven of their past 10 matches, the Saints (11-8-1) advanced to the semifinals with wins over 11th seeded Saint Peter's Thursday (1-0) and No. 3 seed Iona (2-1) Friday. Siena, which has won four straight MAAC Tournament matches dating back to 2010, is 3-3-2 all-time in semifinals action having advanced to the championship match in 1996, 2006 and 2010.

Fairfield (11-6-2) advanced to the semifinal round after surviving a scare from 10th seeded Manhattan Friday. Following a scoreless 110 minutes, the Stags outlasted the Jaspers 4-2 in a penalty kick shootout.

Fairfield leads the all-time series with the Saints 15-6-2 including a 3-0 win over Siena Oct. 23 in Loudonville. The programs are also meeting for the third time in postseason play with Fairfield taking the previous two meetings in both 1997 and 2008.

 

 

The winner of today's match advances to the MAAC Championship Monday at noon against the winner of today's first semifinals match between MAAC Regular Season Champion and top seed Monmouth and fifth seeded Rider. Monday's championship match will be broadcast on ESPN3.
