LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena women's soccer team (10-7-1, 6-2-1) qualified as the third seed setting up a quarterfinal meeting with rival Marist in the 2005 JetBlue Airways/MAAC Women's Soccer Championships set to kick off on Thursday in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The Saints and Red Foxes will faceoff on Friday, October 28, at 11 a.m.

"Now the real season begins," said women's soccer head coach Steve Karbowski. "This team has steadily improved as the season has developed and we know we have to play our best soccer in every game to keep our dream alive from here."

The winner of the Siena and Marist game will have a second round meeting with the winner of the (#2) Niagara vs. either (#7) Canisius or (#10) Saint Peter's game. The semifinal game is set for Sunday, October 30, at 1:30 p.m.

The Championship game will be aired on ESPNU and held on Monday, October 31 at 1 p.m.

The winner of the 2005 JetBlue Airways MAAC Women's Soccer Championship earns the league's automatic bid to the 2005 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship.

The Saints fly south riding a four-game unbeaten streak. In that stretch, Siena has three wins and a tie. The Green and Gold wrapped up the season with a pair of overtime contests and are 2-1-1 overall this season and are unbeaten in the last three overtime matches.
