Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena women's soccer team fell to Loyola (7-5-3, 4-0-2) 3-0 this afternoon in Baltimore. It was Kelly Farrell's goal in the 36th minute of play that proved to be the game winner keeping the Greyhounds undefeated in the MAAC. With the loss, Siena (6-8-1, 3-3-0) drops to an even .500 in conference play.

The Greyhounds got on the scoreboard with 35:04 on the clock when Farrell connected on a feed in the box from midfielder Lina Straopoli. Loyola would take its one goal advantage into intermission.

Loyola added a couple insurances goals in the second half coming from midfielders Kristina Balfoort and Colleen Kinealy, while the Saints continued to struggle on the offensive end of the field. The Greyhounds outshot Siena 7-2 in the second half, and 9-4 on the contest.

Junior goalkeeper Patti Carroll earned the loss in net for the Saints, while goalkeeper Brittany Henderson nabbed the victory for the Greyhounds. Both goalies posted three saves on the afternoon.

The Saints return to action on Sunday afternoon when they square off with Rider in Lawrenceville, N.J. Kick off is set for 1 p.m.
