Jersey City, NJ (Oct.20) -- Sarah Shumway scored a pair of goals as Siena topped Saint Peter's, 7-1, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women's soccer contest.

The Saints (2-7-3, 2-1-1 MAAC) built up a 4-0 halftime lead. Nicole Orlandella scored in the 4th minute and Vicki Fenley added another in the ninth minute before Shumway scored back-to-back goals in the 34th and 39th minutes. Corry Silon made it 5-0 with an early second half goal.

Kristen Lund then scored lone goal for the Peahens (1-11, 0-6), with a 25-yard blast in the 75th minute. The goal was her third of the season.

Katie Ferry and Erin DeMatteo rounded out the scoring for Siena, who held a 26-4 advantage on shots. In goal, Noel Cox played the first half for the Saints, stopping one shot. Krista Nordmark played the second half, stopping two shots and allowing a goal. Angelina Albruzzese made six saves for the Peahens.

Siena continues its conference schedule at home next weekend on Friday against Loyola and Sunday against Rider.
