RIVERDALE, NY (OCTOBER 19, 2002) - The Manhattan College women's soccer team tied Siena 0-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Jaspers (4-7-2, 2-2-1) played strong defense against the Saints (1-7-3, 1-1-1). Siena applied the offensive pressure for the majority of the contest, but was unable to get the ball past Manhattan goalkeeper Jeanne Marie Gilbert (Northport, NY).

Gilbert's best save came at 103:00, when she made a one handed diving save on an Erin Beam head ball. Gilbert has not allowed a goal in 200 minutes.

Manhattan had a solid chance to win the game at 107:00 when Kristin Stroppel (Cornwall, NY) ripped a shot from the 10-yard line but Noel Cox made a lunging save to keep the game scoreless.

Gilbert made eight saves for the Lady Jaspers while Cox made two for the Saints.

Siena finishes off a weekend road trip at Saint Peter's at 9:15 Sunday.
