LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Jennifer Gavin scored off a corner kick from Danielle Della Corna just over halfway into overtime to give visiting Fairfield a 1-0 victory over the Siena women's soccer team Friday afternoon. With the win, Fairfield improved to 4-5-2 and 3-0 in the MAAC while Siena fell to 0-7-2 and 0-1 in conference play.

Neither team was able to generate many scoring chances in a persistent rain. Siena had a few scoring opportunities but were unable to find the back of the net. Fairfield outshot Siena 11-10.

Stags goalie Katie Ely made three saves in the shutout victory. Siena's Noel Cox (Uniondale, N.Y./Uniondale) stopped nine shots in the losing effort.

Siena continues its MAAC schedule with a home matchup against Iona on Sunday. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
