LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Maria DeMatteo scored in the 5th minute and Wagner's Alexis Makwinski scored in the 45th minute to force a 1-1 tie Sunday afternoon in Loudonville. Siena finishes non-conference play undefeated at 7-0-2.

Sophomore Maria DeMatteo gave the Saints (7-0-2) a quick lead in the 5th minute. Cara Riley played a through ball to the right side of the penalty box where DeMatteo ran onto it and fired her shot past goalkeeper Samantha Schueschner. Ten minutes later, DeMatteo hit another rocket from the right side of the box, but Schueschner leapt and tipped it over the crossbar.

Wagner (2-4-3) tied the game with seven seconds remaining in the second half after earning a free kick right in front of the Siena bench. Whitney Prindible hit a long ball into Siena's box where Alexis Makwinski headed it just inside the near post to knot the game at one.

Siena's best opportunities for a go-ahead goal were from Lindsay Tegas. Five minutes into the second half, Ashleigh Barone sailed a service through the six-yard box and Tegas crashed far post but sent the header just wide. In the 64th minute Tegas headed a shot past Schueschner but it hit squarely off the crossbar.

Siena outshot Wagner 16-9 in the game, but only managed to put three attempts on goal. Schueschner made two saves and Siena goalkeeper Laura Ettinger made three.

The Saints begin MAAC play Friday at Niagara.
