Fairfield, CT (September 22, 2002) - The Sacred Heart University women's soccer team fought their way to a 2-0 win over Siena College Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers controlled much of the play throughout the match, with their first goal coming at 62:51 into the game.

Sacred Heart's Jill Bizeau (Suffield, CT) opened the scoring. The junior forward scored off a great pass from sophomore forward/midfielder Ingrid Olsson (Stockholm, Sweden) in the right corner. The game was put away by junior forward/midfielder Paula Pineda (Vigo, Spain) with just 3:55 left.

Junior goalkeeper Leslie Konsig (Millburn, NJ) was given the win, playing all 90 minutes and recording one save on six shots. Krista Nordmark played in goal for the Crusaders, tallying three saves on eight shots.

Siena, 0-5-1, returns to action on October 1st at LaFayette.
