Freshman Tara McLarney tallied the first goal of her career with just ten seconds left in the first half, as Northeastern would hold off Siena 1-0 Saturday at Parsons Field.

The Huskies controlled most of the first half, keeping the ball in the Siena end. With time winding down in the half, Jill Link controlled the ball and lofted a perfect cross towards the back post in which McLarney one-timed into the back of the net.

Sophomore goalie Cynthia Slowik made one save, in her first shutout of the season. NU outshot the visiting Saints 15-3 and improve to 2-2-2 on the seson. The Huskies will next take the field Sunday, Sept. 22 when they host Rider at Parsons Field starting at 1 p.m.
