LOUDONVILLE, N.Y.--The Siena College women's soccer team lost to Holy Cross, 3-2, in non-conference play on Saturday afternoon at home. The Saints fall to 1-1 (0-0 MAAC) on the season and the Crusaders improve to 2-2 (0-0 Patriot) with the win.

In the first half, sophomore Kristen Turner (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) started off the scoring with a goal at 6:35, off an assist from sophomore Susie Blaisdell (Exeter, N.H.). Lauren Pereira scored first for the Crusaders at 13:26 to tie the score.

Minutes later, Kristen Locke managed to sneak one past Winkler as she left the cage for a loose ball giving the Crusaders a one goal lead. Near the end of the second half, Turner scored her second goal of the game in the 75th minute, off a double assist from sophomore Chelsea Maguire (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) and senior Corry Silon (Rockville Center, N.Y.). That goal helped send the game into overtime tied 2-2. In the 98th minute, Holy Cross' Allison Hayes scored the game-winning goal, off an assist from Alison Peters.

Siena outshot the Crusaders, 18-10.

Saints play U Albany on Monday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. at Colonie High School.
