Loudonville, N.Y. - Siena women's lacrosse freshman attack Caitlin Mikel was tabbed MAAC Rookie of the Week as announced by league headquarters earlier this afternoon. It marked the second time this season that Mikel secured the conference's highest freshman honor.

The native of Rochester, N.Y. recorded a hat trick in her lone game of the week, a 13-9 Siena loss at Holy Cross. Mikel found the back of the net on three of her four shots on goal, while adding a groundball.

In just her first seven collegiate games, Mikel already leads the Saints in goals (11), assists (10) and points (21).

Mikel and the Saints return to action tomorrow for their first home game in 29 days when they host former MAAC member LeMoyne. Game time is set for 4 p.m. from Siena Turf Field.
