Stephanie Petruccelli (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) of the Siena women's lacrosse team was named to the women's lacrosse Preseason All-MAAC Team as voted on by the league's head coaches. In addition, Siena was picked to finish sixth out of seven teams in the conference.
Petruccelli was the lone representative for the Saints on the All-MAAC Team, as six of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's seven schools were represented on the squad. Petruccelli finished the 2003 season ranked first on the team in points (56), goals (37) assists (19) and shots (70). She was named to the All-MAAC Second Team for her efforts.
Siena finished the preseason poll in sixth with 14 points, five ahead of last place Canisius College. Fairfield was picked to win the crown in 2004 with 47 points four points in front of last season's champion , LeMoyne (43 points). Niagara landed in third (34 points) followed by fourth-place Marist (27 points) and Manhattan (22 points), who captured the fifth spot.
