Julia Sirianni and Alyssa Treanor both netted hat tricks as Siena Women's Lacrosse held off a late Iona charge to defeat the Gaels 12-11 in the season finale in New Rochelle, N.Y. The Saints finish the 2014 season with a 5-12 overall record and 3-5 mark in the MAAC.

Iona (2-14, 1-7) rattled off five straight goals to take a 5-2 lead midway through the first half. But Sarah Croutier scored with one second remaining to pull the Saints within 6-4 at the break.

Croutier's goal kick started a 9-2 run spanning 23 minutes, as the Saints would claim as much as a four-goal lead at 12-8 with 7:34 remaining. Croutier goals bookended the run, while Sirianni and Treanor tallied all of their scores during the stretch.

Iona would score the final three goals to make things interesting late, but the Saints hung on to post their fifth straight win over the Gaels.

Sirianni also won a career-high 10 draw controls, tying her younger sister Briana Sirianni for the second highest single-game total in program history. Sirianni finishes the season with 75 draw controls, second most in program history to her MAAC record of 89 which she set last season.

Croutier, Erin Mossop and Lauren Smith all added three points apiece for the Saints, while Ashley Holdridge set a new career-high with 14 saves.

Mary Kate McCormick scored a game-high four points (three assists) for Iona. Erin Pugh added a hat trick and Meghan Testoni notched three points for the Gaels.

The future looks bright for a young Siena squad which is expected to return its top-7 scorers and all three goalies next season.
