Erin Mossop, Sarah Croutier and Alyssa Treanor each recorded hat tricks to lead Siena to a 12-7 MAAC win at Manhattan Wednesday. The Saints bridged the two halves with a 4-1 run to take a lead they would not relinquish, and slammed the door with a late 4-0 run keyed by Mossop.
Siena (3-8, 1-1) trailed 4-3 after Megan Yarusso scored for Manhattan (2-8, 0-2) with 10:32 left in the first half, but Croutier and Treanor scored back-to-back goals to give the Saints a 5-4 lead at the break.
Julia Sirianni scored on a free position shot less than three minutes into the second half to make it 6-4, and after Domenica O'Brey answered for the Jaspers, Casey Irwin and Maddie Devine found the back of the net for the Saints to push the lead to three goals.
Mossop keyed a decisive four-goal run with back-to-back unassisted tallies, and Treanor scored the final two goals for the Saints, the last coming off a Mossop feed with 4:20 to play.
Freshman Samantha DePasquale was stout between the pipes for the Saints, saving 10 of 17 shots.
The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for Siena which evened its MAAC record at 1-1.
Six different players scored for Manhattan, which fell to 0-2 in the MAAC.
