Katherine Hunsberger scored five times leading Binghamton to a 10-7 win Wednesday afternoon over Siena Women's Lacrosse in Vestal, N.Y. Katie Maguire and Alyssa Treanor each scored twice for the Saints.
Siena (1-7) rallied from an early 5-2 deficit, tallying three consecutive goals to knot the score with 24:13 remaining. But Binghamton (1-5) responded by scoring five of the next six goals to snap a 14-game losing streak.
Sarah Croutier, Maggie Deloria and Shannon Pfohl each added goals for the Saints which concluded a program record tying five-game road trip with a fifth consecutive defeat.
Hunsberger also won five draw controls for Binghamton and two of her goals came off free-position shots. As a team, the Bearcats converted five of their seven free position targets. Erin McNulty added 10 saves, three groundballs and caused two turnovers.
Siena finally returns to the Capital Region for their first home game in 25 days Sunday at 1 p.m. However the slate gets no easier for the Saints as they welcome a nationally ranked opponent to Siena Turf Field for the first time in program history in No. 15/16 Stony Brook.
