LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Women's Lacrosse scored its most goals in three years in routing St. Bonaventure 16-7 at Siena Turf Field. Eight different Saints scored and seven tallied multiple goal performances in a complete team effort.
Siena (2-5) held a 37-18 advantage in shots, 23-14 edge in groundballs and won 17 of 24 draw controls in dominating all facets of the game. The 16 goals scored were the program's most since posting a 19-7 win over Presbyterian on Mar. 26, 2011.
Junior attack Alyssa Treanor led the way with a career-high six points, tallying a hat trick and adding three assists. Sophomore attack Sarah Croutier, who entered the day tied for second in the MAAC in both points and goals, added four points on two goals and two assists.
Siena scored three straight goals to take a 4-1 lead midway through the first half and led 6-2 at the break. The Saints would go on to score eight of the first 10 goals of the second half in building as much as a 10-goal lead.
Maddie Devine, Cara McQuillan, Erin Mossop, Julia Sirianni and Lauren Smith all contributed two goals for Siena. Sirianni added seven draw controls for the Saints which beat St. Bonaventure (0-4) for the first time in eight all-time meetings between the programs.
Taylor Fallon scored twice and Sarah Schlagenhauf made 14 saves for the Bonnies.
The Saints return to action Thursday when they host Binghamton for a 4 p.m. draw.
