LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The NCAA revealed the 72-teams and the three regionals for the 2014 NCAA Women's Golf Championship Tournament Monday evening live via the Golf Channel. Siena received the automatic bid from winning the 2014 MAAC Championship and will compete in the Central Regional in Stillwater, Oklahoma on May 8-10.
"We're thrilled, it was definitely our first choice to head to Oklahoma and couldn't be happier," said Coach Dave Wronowski. "Over the next week we will get an understanding of the lay of the land and understand what shots we are going to need when we get there."
The 54-hole Central Regional will be held May 8-10 at Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater, Okla., the official golf course of Oklahoma State University.
The top-8 schools and two individuals in the three Regionals will advance to the 2014 NCAA Championship round that will be held May 20-23 at Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
This is the second time in three years that the Saints have qualified for the NCAA Regionals (2012 - Ohio State Regional).
