LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Women’s Golf Head Coach Dave Wronowski announced the signing of Lena Kaufman to a National Letter of Intent. She will join the program in the fall of 2018.
“We are very excited to have Lena join the program next fall,” Wronowski said. “ I see a ton of an upside for Lena’s game as she enters collegiate golf. She has a terrific demeanor and an excellent work ethic that will certainly make an immediate impact on our team next year.”
A Pittsford, New York native, Kaufman has earned two New York State Section V Player of the Year honors in 2014 and 2016. During the those two years she was also a Medalist at the Section V Championship. Kaufman earned the 2016 Democrat and Chronicle All-Greater Rochester Girls Golfer of the Year award. All three seasons at Pittsford Sutherland High School she and her team have won the Section V New York Championship (2015, 2016, 2017). Kaufman was a two-time Rochester District Golf Association Jr. Champion; winning the award in both 2016 and 2017. She had a Top-10 finish at the 2017 New York State Junior Girls Championship.
Kaufman will join the women’s golf program that finished in fifth place as the MAAC Championship in 2017 and that finished a team-best fifth place at the Dartmouth Invitational during the fall season.
