The Siena women’s golf team shot a second round total of 336 to finish in eighth place out of the eight team field in the Lehigh Invitational. It was the highest score for the Saints in any round since April 9, 2012 in the Brown Invitational.
Kylie Strijek led the Saints recording rounds of 75-85 to finish tied for 23rd overall.
The second round score of 335 was 15 shots off of their day one performance. The Saints finished 17 shots behind seventh place Lehigh University. The tournament’s winner was Ivy League school Princeton University, who won the event by one stroke over second place Seton Hall.
The Saints have now officially ended the fall portion of their 2012-13 schedule.
“We are looking forward to some rest and start preparing for the spring,” head coach Dave Wronowski said. “We have a lot of work ahead of us this off season to get ready for the MAACs. The girls will be up for the challenge.”
