Siena Women's Golf Wins Hofstra Fall Invitational
Saints Claim Their Third First Place Title in Fall Finale

The Siena women golfers finished first with a combined score of 653 (+93 over par), Saturday, at the 2004 Hofstra Fall Invitational at Bethpage State Park at the Red Course. Junior Jillian Blanchard posted a two-round total score of 158 to finish for 2nd place.

Blanchard and Long Island University, Veronica Lopes both finished with a combined total of 158 (+18), and had to go to a playoff round. Lopes wound up the victor, and captured the individual title.

Laura Woolgar shot an 82 in round one and a 78 in round two to post. Rounding out the rest of Saints golfers were freshmen Melissa Agostinelli, who tied for 8th with a 166 and Bridget Erwin tied for 14th with a 169, and junior Rachel Scalzo finished with 179.

The Saints have claimed their third first place finish in their Spring Finale. The women will take a winter break before spring play.
