The Siena womens golf team put up a strong showing in an exhibition against UAlbany Sunday at Orchard Creek Country Club, topping the Great Danes 321-331 and placing five golfers in the top six.
Freshman Kylie Strijek led the way, shooting a two-over-par 74 and finishing one back of the low individual score. Junior Julie Juchno and senior Katelynn Mannix tied for third with rounds of 82, while sophomore Megan Cahill finished fifth with an 83. Sophomore Cortney Tilley rounded out the squad, tying for sixth with an 84.
Albany's Corrin Conroy took medalist honors with a one-over-par 73. However, no other UAlbany golfer placed higher than a tie for sixth, and the Saints were able to manage a ten-shot victory due to their overall consistency.
Siena will finish their fall season this Friday and Saturday at the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, N.J.
