Siena Women's Golf Claimed 1st Place at U Albany Quadrangular

Seeking their first win of the semester, the Siena College women's golf team shot a final round 324 to win the University of Albany Quadrangular Match at Orchard Greek Golf Course this afternoon. The contest was hosted by Albany, which included guests, Fairfield and Hartford. Sophomore Laura Woolgar fired a final round 79 to place second in a tie with Adrianna DiLonardo of Hartford while two other Saints, freshman Melissa Agostinelli (81) and Bridget Erwin (82) and junior Jillian Blanchard (83) finished in the top 10. Siena finished with the lowest team score at 324, edging out Hartford by three strokes. UAlbany carded a 337 on the day, while Fairfield tallied 346. Rounding out the Saints victory, sophomore Megan Angis shot an 89. Siena's next competition will be at the Lehigh Invitational Oct. 9 and will finish spring play at the Hofstra Invitational.
