The Siena women's golf team posted a round of 342, which puts them in ninth place after the first day of the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club. Princeton with two teams (A & B) leads the field in the first and third spot. While Yale, Harvard and Pennsylvania round out the top five.
On the individual leader board, freshman Bridget Erwin finishes day one in the top 20, with a score of (39,42). Erwin is eight strokes behind leader Meg Nakamura, who shot a low round of 73, one-over.
Sophomore Laura Wooglar and Samantha Rossi are three strokes behind junior Jillian Blanchard at the 36th post of 68 golfers. Rounding our the Saints is sophomore Megan Angis (46, 43), a stroke behind Wooglar and Rossi.
The fifteen school-field action recommence with the second and final round tomorrow morning.
