GUILDERLAND, N.Y. - The defending MAAC champion Siena women's golf team started its 2002-2003 season with a convincing win over rivals Albany and Fairfield in a match contested at Pinehaven Country Club Tuesday.

Siena won the match with a total score of 341, compared to Albany's 356 and Fairfield's 362. Jill Blanchard led the way for Siena with an 84. Stephanie Reeves (85), Bridgette Palin (86) and Shauna Carroll (86) were not far behind. Overall, Siena had four of the six lowest individual scores.
