Siena Women’s Golf stands 10th following the First Round of the Navy Spring Invitational at the Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Maryland. Senior Kristen Bromley is tied for 11th overall individually after the first 18 of 36 scheduled holes.
Harvard leads the 12-team field by six strokes over nearest competitor Lehigh. The Saints hold a nine-shot advantage over the only other MAAC school in the field, Niagara.
Bromley shot a +9 round of 81 on Saturday, and trails the clubhouse leader Anna Zhou of the Crimson by seven strokes. Classmate Stephanie Sullivan also broke 90 with a First Round score of 87 on the challenging course, which only featured nine sub-80 opening round scores in the 66-golfer field.
Play concludes with the final 18 holes Sunday via a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
