High wings of 25 mph created a tough environment for the Saints women's golf team as they turned in some of their highest scores of the year. Victoria Nguyen seemed to have been immune to the windy conditions as she is currently 20th after shooting an 82 in the round.

Nguyen leads the Saints as the team is in 13th place, shooting a combined 352.

Katie Nelson joins Nguyen as the only other Saints golfer score under 90. Nelson shot an 89 in the first round and is tied for 60th place.

Mary Fletcher, Valerie Wijaya and Kristen Bromley all broke 90 as they continued to struggle with the high winds.

Golf looks to rebound Sunday morning at the Pirate Invitational, hosted by Seton Hall. For the latest information on women's golf, please visit SienaSaints.com
