LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - A total of six Siena field hockey players were selected to the 2006-07 Northeast Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, as announced by league offices. The seasonal honor roll consists of 399 student athletes from each representing Northeast Conference institution.
Local product, Traci Baldwin (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) was selected to the honor roll, as she carries a 3.92 cumulative grade point average as a biology major, while two-sport standout Emily Winslow (Webster, N.Y./Webster-Schroeder) also made an appearance on the list with an impressive 3.85 grade point average as a biology major.
Senior defender Carly Demartis (Somers, N.Y./North Salem) made the list after posting a 3.43 grade point average. Sophomore forward Meredith Yund (Castleton, N.Y./Columbia) is no stranger to numbers, as she tabulated a 3.23 grade point average as an economics major.
Rounding out the remaining representatives from Siena's field hockey roster to be selected to the prestigious honor roll were junior midfielder Anne Linley (Washington, Conn./Shepaug Regional), who carries a 3.68 cumulative grade point average as a spanish major and midfielder, Alicia Reagan (Penfield, N.Y./Webster-Schroeder) who boasts a 3.64 grade point average as an american studies major.
To be selected as a Northeast Conference scholar-athlete award winner, one must have earned a minimum of 60 semester hours, maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and participate with distinction as a member of a varsity team.
