Siena field hockey could not capitalize off one of the program's strongest offensive showings in recent memory Friday, dropping a 3-0 decision at Saint Francis (Pa.). The Saints, who scored on all four shots on goal in a 5-4 loss against conference power Monmouth, mustered just two shots in 70 minutes.

Siena (0-14, 0-3 NEC) stayed in the game throughout, trailing just 1-0 at halftime. Sophomore goalkeeper Beth Meyers tallied nine saves, but allowed two more goals in the final 35 minutes while Saint Francis (4-11, 2-1 NEC) held the Green and Gold offense in check.

Sophomore Jessica Smith, whose hat trick powered the Saints last weekend, fired Siena's lone shot on goal. Freshman Katherine Bowie recorded Siena's only other shot.

Siena continues their road trip on Sunday against Robert Morris.
