The Siena field hockey team dropped a 9-0 decision to the UC Davis Aggies Wednesday on the campus of Hofstra University.
UC Davis (4-6) started their scoring nearly nine minutes into the game when Ashley Haight tipped in the opening goal for her first of the season. The Aggies would not look back touching net three more times in the first half and adding five more in the second.
Siena (0-5) recorded three shots on goal out of their five attempts. Those were recorded by Cory dela Gorgendiere, Gabi Ferraro, and Michaela Sullivan.
In the loss, Beth Meyers recorded four saves playing a few minutes into the second half, while freshman Mary Drabich stopped five shots in her second outing of the season.
Siena will continue their month long road trip as they travel to Vermont on Sunday Sept. 23. That game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
