Brown scored four goals in just 7:26 late in the second half to rally past Siena Field Hockey 4-1 in Providence, Rhode Island. Sophomore forward Brianna Muniz scored for the Saints.
Sophomore goalie Mary Crumlish made all eight of her saves in the second half for the Saints (0-7) which led into the 53rd minute.
Brown (1-4) took eight shots in the first half, but the Saints’ strong defense held them without a shot on goal. Meanwhile, Siena capitalized to take the lead in the 25th minute, Freshman defender Alex Worrallo passed the ball in towards Muniz who tapped it into the goal to give the Saints the 1-0 advantage.
However, with 16:43 remaining the Bears finally broke through. Anya Nyack tied the game, and just 2:06 later Rachel Lanouette would put Brown in front for good. Nyack and Lanouette would each score once more to extend the lead.
Brown out shot the Saints 25-7 and also held a 10-5 margin in corners. Katie Hammaker made two saves to earn the win in goal for the Bears.
Siena returns home Sunday to host Lehigh at 1 p.m.
