Siena field hockey dropped their home opener 5-0 against Lock Haven on Sunday afternoon. The Saints now prepare for their next match versus rivals #13 UAlbany.

Lock Haven (5-2) scored early on the Saints (0-4) and never looked back on Sunday afternoon. For the second straight day, the Saints were out shot 12-3 by the Bald Eagles and were unable to secure a penalty corner.

The Bald Eagles' Kelly Harsh connected on the first penalty corner of the game at the 12-minute mark. Kiersten Cepeda recorded the assist. Harsh and Cepeda would set the tone for the Bald Eagles, each scoring a goal and an assist on the day. Harsh assisted on a goal by Rachel Valentine for the Bald Eagles' third goal in the first half.

Lock Haven would later score two additional goals from Kiersten Cepeda and Brittany Harlos to secure the 5-0 win.

Siena goalkeepers Mary Drabich (0-2) and Beth Meyers shared time in goal, each recording two saves for the day.

The Saints will travel to #13 UAlbany on Wednesday for a 3:00 p.m. start before coming back home to play Fairfield at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22.
