LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Field Hockey dropped a nonconference matchup to Lock Haven on Sunday afternoon. All five of Siena’s penalty corners came as the time expired on the clock.

Sophomore goalie Mary Crumlish recorded 8 saves for the Saints (0-6). Freshman Alex Worrallo played a strong game for the Saints on the defensive end.

Dana-Lee De Gannes, Emily Robb and Alyscia Smith each tallied a goal for Lock Haven (5-1). Goalkeeper Paige Stuppy recorded four saves.

The Saints and Lock Haven played a tight first half and Siena held off the Bald Eagles who recorded eight penalty corners. In the 25th minute, Lock Haven took the advantage after a penalty corner rebound to go up 1-0. Siena got their first corner of the game as time expired in the half but was unable to put the ball in the cage, which kept Lock Haven in the lead 1-0 at the half.

Lock Haven came storming into the second half and wasted no time as they picked up their second goal of the game in the 39th minute to take a 2-0 lead. In the 48th minute, Lock Haven would record their third goal of the game off a cross that was deflected into the goal.The Saints had four penalty corner opportunities as time ran out, but were unable to come away with the goal and the Bald Eagles took the victory 3-0.

The Saints travel to Providence, Rhode Island to take on Brown on Friday, Sept. 15. Gametime is set for 4 p.m.
