BEFORE SIENA: Earned four letters in field hockey at Millbrook High...Mid-Hudson Athletic League Second Team selection as a senior and honorable mention as a sophomore and junior...Poughkeepsie Journal Second Team pick as a senior...Member of the Section IX runner-up squad her junior season...Also earned four letters in basketball, two in softball and one in track...Member of the Section IX Girls Basketball Championship team as a freshman, sophomore and junior and softball as a junior...Two-time NYS Scholar Athlete.

PERSONAL: Born October 17, 1990 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y....The daughter of Michael and Laura Murphy...Has an older sister, Megan, who is a member of the women's basketball team at LeMoyne...Enjoys swimming, baking and watching movies...A biology major who aspires to be a dermatologist...Chose Siena because she felt it was the right fit...Also recruited by Ursinus College.

WHY I CHOSE SIENA: "I chose Siena because the college's community made me feel very comfortable on all my visits. Additionally, it had everything I wanted both academically and athletically. It just felt like the right fit."

My favorite spot on campus is: Either the table next to the window by the ramp in Morrell where you can see grass and a shed or the middle of the academic quad on a sunny day
