BEFORE SIENA: Lettered four years of varsity field hockey and two years of varsity softball at Clarkstown South...Also played two years of basketball.

PERSONAL: Born March 16, 1985...The daughter of John and Nancy Mecchella...A business marketing major...Has an older brother, John, who is a graduate of Syracuse University...Has an older sister, Jackie, who also graduated from Syracuse and who is now attending Albany Law School.
