![]() The Siena College Women's Basketball team will be taking a foreign tour of Denmark and Italy August 13-22, 2011. Destinations include both countries' historic capitals' - Copenhagen and Rome - as well as Milan, Como, and of course, Italy's own version of Siena. "This is a wonderful opportunity for our team and a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many of our student athletes," said head coach Gina Castelli. "We are very excited and looking forward to learning both the Danish and Italian cultures as well as gain valuable basketball experience. Additionally, it will be great to meet both Maja Gerlyng and Ida Krogh's families in Denmark and get to spend some time in their hometowns." While abroad, the Saints will play four games against international foes with two tilts slated against the Danish National Team and a pair of games in Italy against the TDT Slammers and Italy All-Stars. When they are not on the court, the Saints will be taking in all Denmark and Italy have to offer including guided castle tours in Copenhagen, a visit to the famous Duomo Cathedral in Milan, and stops by the Vatican, Roman Coliseum and much, much more!
