Dec. 30, 2010
BRONX, N.Y. - After nearly pulling off the comeback of all comebacks yesterday, the Saints will hope to carry over that momentum and end the 2010 calendar year the same way in which they started it - with a win. Siena faces tournament host Fordham on the final day of the 2010 Fordham Holiday Classic at 1 p.m. this afternoon here from Rose Hill Gym.
Less than 24 hours ago, the Saints found themselves in an early 23-point hole against Villanova before battling back to as close as five points before ultimately falling, 57-50. Now, the Saints hope to use that late-game spark today and end the 2010 year on a high note.
Siena has enjoyed much success in the past against Fordham, having beaten the Rams in all six previous meetings. But Fordham has played well in the early part of the season, posting a 7-7 record and yesterday shot 61% from the field in the second half en-route to a 62-44 win over Yale.
