Jazmine Adair joins Jaques' first Siena staff

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Women's Basketball Head Coach Ali Jaques has made an addition to her staff. Jazmine Adair, who played under Jaques for two seasons at George Washington, has been named the Saints' Director of Basketball Operations.
"We are really lucky to have Jazmine Adair as a member of our staff," said Jaques. "She brings tremendous basketball and life experience to our program. I had the pleasure to coach her at George Washington and our players and the Siena community will definitely benefit from having her on board."
Adair officially joined the staff Friday. Her responsibilities include running the program's summer camps, overseeing community service opportunities, arranging team travel and film exchange and assisting in other day-to-day operations.
Adair played four seasons at George Washington (2005-09) where she was the team's leading scorer and rebounder off the bench each of her final three seasons. An Atlantic-10 All-Rookie Team selection, she was named the Colonials' Most Improved Player following her junior season.
During her sophomore and junior seasons, Adair played under Jaques who was an assistant coach at George Washington from 2006-08. During those two seasons, Adair and Jaques both played key roles for a program that won 55 games and made consecutive NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearances.
Adair appeared in 117 games for the Colonials making 24 starts. She averaged 5.1 points and 4.2 rebounds while recording 78 career blocks.
Adair has spent three years working in Washington-area high schools as both an aide and assistant girls' basketball coach. Additionally, she worked as an executive assistant and assistant project manager at MicroFederal Solutions, Inc.
A native of Washington, D.C., Adair earned her B.A. in Sociology from George Washington in June of 2009.
Adair joins the Saints when they return to the court tonight for a 7 p.m. tip-off at UMass.
