LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The complete 2013-14 Siena Women's Basketball schedule was revealed Thursday afternoon following the release of the MAAC schedule. The Saints will play 14 of their 29 regular season games at home this winter, starting with the season opening Albany Cup doubleheader with the men's team Nov. 8 at the Times Union Center.
The Saints open MAAC play in the month of December for the first time since the 2008-09 season. The newly expanded 20-game conference slate tips off Sunday, Dec. 29 at Iona before the Saints return to the Capital Region for the MAAC home opener New Year's Eve at the ARC against Rider.
Three of the Saints' first four league games come on the road as the team opens the New Year at Manhattan (Jan. 5) and Marist (Jan. 7).
The Saints return home to host Niagara (Jan. 10) and new MAAC member Monmouth (Jan. 13). The game against the Purple Eagles is one of three home games to be played as part of a doubleheader with the men's team at the Times Union Center along with UAlbany (Nov. 8) and Manhattan (Jan. 30).
The remainder of the regular season features prolonged homestands and road trips for the Saints.
At home Siena enjoys a season long four-game homestand against Canisius (Jan. 26), Manhattan, Iona (Feb. 1) and Marist (Feb. 6). Additionally, the Saints close out their home slate with a three-game homestand at the ARC against new MAAC foe Quinnipiac (Feb. 20), Fairfield (Feb. 23) and Saint Peter's (Feb. 28).
Siena heads south for a three-game road trip at Fairfield (Jan. 16), Quinnipiac (Jan. 18) and Rider (Jan. 24). The Saints also have a three-game road swing in February at Saint Peter's (Feb. 8) followed by the annual Western New York trip to Niagara (Feb. 13) and Canisius (Feb. 15). The Saints conclude the regular season at Monmouth Mar. 2.

Siena returns four starters and 11 letterwinners from last year's team which posted a 13-18 overall record under first-year head coach Ali Jaques and finished tied for sixth in the MAAC, advancing to the conference semifinals. The Saints were predicted to finish seventh in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll released Wednesday.
