LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Home is where the heart is for Siena women's basketball. The Saints will play the first five games of the 2010-11 season at home and will travel no farther than New York City for a road non-conference game. That's in stark contrast from last year which included trips to Champaign, Ill., Harrisonburg, Va., and Flagstaff, Ariz.

Siena's enjoyed much more success at home in recent years. The past five years, Siena is .500 (34-34) at home and 8-15 in home non-conference games compared to 3-18 in away games.

The 10-game slate includes six home games (two played at Times Union Center as part of doubleheaders with the Siena men), three away games and one neutral site game.

The season opens with Navy coming to Alumni Recreation Center on November 12. Siena's last season opener win occurred in 2003-04 against UAlbany at Pepsi Arena. Siena won its only previous meeting with Navy, 69-59 in 1982-83.

Siena hosts Colgate (Nov. 15), Wagner (Nov. 20) and Central Connecticut State University (Nov. 27) at the ARC and UAlbany (Dec. 4) at TUC. The Saints lead the all-time series with the cross-town rival Great Danes 10-3 and last year's win marked the 300th of head coach Gina Castelli's career. This year's game will again be part of a doubleheader with the Siena men.

Siena plays its first two road games of the season against Binghamton (Dec. 7) and Sacred Heart (Dec. 12). The Saints lost to Binghamton 76-70 in overtime and defeated Sacred Heart 51-45 last season.

The Saints conclude their non-conference schedule with a game against UC Santa Barbara at TUC and a tournament at Fordham. The UCSB game is part of a doubleheader with the Siena men who host Georgia Tech and the return of former Siena coach Paul Hewitt. The Saints then travel to Fordham and face the host Rams (Dec. 28) and Villanova (Dec. 29).

Siena finished last season with an 11-18 overall record.
