The men's banquet is scheduled for Monday, April 28 at the Wolf Road Marriott beginning at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception to be followed by dinner and awards ceremony.
Both banquets are open to the general public - admission is $35 per person for the women's banquet and $65 for the men's. For more information please contact the Siena athletic department at 783-2450.
The women are set to recognize seniors Liga Alpe-Luka, Melissa Manzer and Laura Menty. The women finished tied for sixth place in the MAAC and lost in the Quarterfinals of the MAAC Tournament. Menty secured First Team All-MAAC honors and Junior Shondaya Burrell was named to the Third Team. Head Coach Gina Castelli and staff will be on hand to distribute the annual awards and recap the season.
The Siena men recently completed one of their most successful seasons in program history. The Saints advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament after capturing both the MAAC regular-season and postseason Championship. Siena knocked off SEC power and 26-game winner Vanderbilt by 21 points in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. It marked the program's third NCAA Tournament win in four appearances. Junior Kenny Hasbrouck and sophomore Edwin Ubiles were selected to the MAAC First Team and sophomore Alex Franklin received Second Team honors. Lone senior and crowd favorite Tay Fisher will be recognized for his career achievements before addressing the crowd. Head coach Fran McCaffery will be on hand to present awards and recap the season.
Sponsorship opportunities, including sponsor tables, are available for both banquets. For more information, contact Lori Perillo in the Siena athletics office at 518-783-2530.
