The Women's National Invitation Tournament announced its field Sunday and Siena will open play in the 32-team tournament at home against Seton Hall on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Alumni Recreation Center on Siena's campus.

Siena (24-7/15-3 MAAC) returns to action following a 65-57 loss in the MAAC final to Manhattan. Seton Hall finished the 2002-03 season 14-14 overall and 7-9 in the Big East. The Saints and Pirates will meet for the first time ever.

The winner of the Siena-Seton Hall matchup will face the winner of Creighton and Maine. The date and time of that potential second-round game has yet to be determined. Siena last saw Maine during the 1990-91 season when the Black Bears defeated the Saints 81-55. Siena is 1-4 against Maine with the first meeting dating back to 1984-85 season. Siena and Creighton have never met.

Tickets for the game will be available for purchase beginning Tuesday morning at the box office in the Alumni Recreation Center. The box office will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m on Wednesday.

Ticket prices have been set at $8 for adults in the end zone and $10 for adults in side seating. Children and student tickets have been priced at $4.

This will be Siena's third straight postseason bid. The Saints played in the postseason WNIT in 2002, losing to St. Joseph's 84-55 in the first round. Siena defeated Syracuse 83-66 at home in the preseason WNIT this year before falling to Penn State, 90-61, in round two.

A total of 19 conferences have teams in the WNIT. First-round games will be played beginning Wednesday, March 19 through Friday, March 21.
