Seniors Get Saints Back in Win Column
Siena Women's Basketball reeled off a 28-2 run over 6:22 encompassing both halves in an impressive 76-54 win at Saint Peter's. With the win the Saints snapped a 10-game losing streak, earning their first victory in 34 days.
- Siena Women's Basketball celebrates Senior Night when the Saints host Saint Peter's at 7 p.m. at the ARC. Gameday Central coverage begins with the Berkshire Bank Pregame Show at 6:30 p.m. locally on WVCR 88.3 FM "The Saint" and online at SienaAllAccess.com.
Just prior to tip-off, the Saints (7-20, 2-16) will honor and recognize the careers of the program's five-member senior class consisting of Kanika Cummings, Allison Mullings, Clara Sole Anglada, Ciara Stewart and Kate Zarotney. Siena has won four straight Senior Day games and six of seven.
Both teams enter tonight's matchup in search of a much needed win and some momentum heading into next week's MAAC Tournament in Springfield, Mass. Siena has lost 14 of its last 15 games, while Saint Peter's (3-25, 2-17) has dropped 13 straight.
Siena has won seven in a row over the Peacocks and with a win tonight would secure the #10 seed in the MAAC Tournament. Should the Saints lose, they could still finish 10th or 11th.
Mike Demos and Steve Amedio have the call of the game beginning with pregame coverage at 6:30 p.m. Fans can both watch and listen to the action online exclusively at SienaAllAccess.com in addition to tuning into the radio broadcast locally on WVCR 88.3 FM "The Saint."
