LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Despite the inclement weather in the Capital Region today, please note that tonight's 11th Annual Pink Zone Game is still on. Siena hosts nationally ranked Marist at 7 p.m. this evening at the ARC.
All of tonight's scheduled events including the Pink Zone reception at 5 p.m. and the game itself at 7 p.m. will be held without interruption as scheduled. Siena students get in free to the game with their Siena ID and the first 500 fans will receive a pink foam paw. Additionally, fans who wear pink to the game will receive $2 off admission.
Last season's Pink Zone game raised a record $15,171 for the Capital Region Action Against Breast Cancer (CRAAB!) and the program has set a goal of raising $20,000 for this year's game.
For those who cannot make it to this evening's game, you can watch the broadcast on Time Warner Cable Sports on Channel 3 in the Capital Region. Mike Demos and Jackie Luszczek have the call. Fans can also listen to the game on WVCR 88.3 FM "The Saint" with Nate March and Steve Amedio on the call beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Siena (12-14, 10-6) closes out the regular season with a two-game homestand beginning tonight and concluding against Canisius for Senior Day Sunday at 2 p.m. This evening, the Saints will be looking for their first ever win against a nationally ranked opponent in 13 tries.
Marist (25-2, 16-0) enters the evening riding the longest active winning streak in the nation at 21 games. The Red Foxes, who recently clinched the top seed for a seventh straight season in next week's MAAC Championships, are ranked 21st nationally in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Coaches Polls.
