LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Junior forward Laura Menty was named MAAC Player of the Week announced today at conference headquarters. Menty averaged 24 points, eight rebounds and shot a phenomenal 63% from the field which guided the Saints to a 2-1 record on the week. She delivered three consecutive 20+ point performances and led all scorers for three straight games.

Menty scored 25 points, including a game winning buzzer beater at Canisius in a thrilling 59-58 victory on Saturday. She also pulled down a game high 10 rebounds which secured her second double-double of the season.

On Thursday night, Menty exploded for 27 points and carried the Saints into overtime at Niagara. She recorded 10 of the team's last 12 points, which included a bank shot with just four seconds remaining to force overtime. She grabbed nine rebounds and shot 10-for-18 from the field.

Menty led all scorers with 20 points as the Saints cruised to an 87-55 victory over Rider on Monday. She shot a phenomenal 7-for-9 from the field and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line.

On the season, Menty has led the Saints scoring on 10 occasions and has posted double-figures in 16 of 21 games. She ranks second in the league averaging 15.3 points per game.

The Saints return to action versus Iona on Friday night which begins a two game home stand. Tip time is slated for 7 p.m. On Sunday, the Saints are set to square of with Marist at 2 p.m.
