Jaques will field questions from the media from 12:00-12:15 p.m. followed by Patsos from 12:15-12:30 p.m.
Jaques' women's team (6-15, 1-11) is currently on a nine game losing streak after losing two games over the weekend to Manhattan and league leading Iona Gaels. Senior guard Kanika Cummings led the way for the Saints against the Jaspers with 13 points, and three assists. Freshmen Meghan Donohue was awarded the MAAC Rookie of the Week for her performance against Iona, leading the Saints in scoring with 16 points and nine rebounds. Tehresa Coles added 15 points and eight rebounds against the Gaels.
The men's team (10-13, 6-6) split their two home games last weekend against Niagara and Quinnipiac. The Saints won in dramatic fashion on Thursday against the Purple Eagles 66-62 with a go-ahead three-pointer from junior Evan Hymes. Marquis Wright has 12 points and Rob Poole led the Saints with 15 points. Siena held the nation's leading scorer, Antoine Mason to 18 points for the second consecutive game. The men dropped an overtime thriller 103-95 to the Bobcats, in a game that had six Saints foul out. Rob Poole led the team with 26 points and Brett Bisping tied his career high with 20 points. Freshmen Marquis Wright scored his career high 18 points against the Bobcats and was awarded the MAAC Rookie of the Week for the third time this season on Monday afternoon.
The women are home this Thursday, February 6, to face the Marist Red Foxes at 7:00 p.m. and travel to face Saint Peter's on Sunday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. The Men travel to Saint Peter's on Friday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. before coming home on Monday to play Fairfield at 7:00 p.m.
