Grenci is the MAAC Player of the Week for the second time in her career

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Women's Basketball senior captain Lily Grenci was named the MAAC Player of the Week Monday. The Mars, Pa. native averaged 25.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in leading the Saints to a pair of wins last week.
A Preseason First Team All-MAAC selection, Grenci shot an impressive 65.4% (17-26) from the field, 85.7% (12-14) from the free throw line and made all four of her three-point attempts in leading the Saints to wins over Saint Peter's and Loyola.
On Thursday, Grenci scored a career-high 30 points in a 75-60 win at Saint Peter's in front of a national audience on ESPN3. Sunday, she added 20 more points in a 62-52 home victory over the Greyhounds in leading the Saints to their third straight win overall.
Grenci, who earns MAAC Player of the Week honors for a second time in her career, currently ranks second in the MAAC averaging 15.4 points and is third in rebounding (9.0.). One of 30 candidates nationally and the first in program history for the prestigious Senior CLASS Award, Grenci is averaging an impressive conference-leading 19.3 points and 9.5 rebounds in six MAAC contests.
Grenci and the Saints, who currently stand at 7-10 overall on the season and 3-3 in the MAAC, return to action Friday night for a 7 p.m. tip at Fairfield.
